The Kraft Safe Food Campaign is a grassroots campaign launched by Genetically Engineered Food Alert Coalition calling on all food companies, particularly Kraft Foods, to immediately do the following:
- Stop using genetically engineered ingredients in all of their products unless adequate testing, labeling, and liability are established;
- Start labeling products containing tested genetically engineered ingredients, so consumers can make their own choices; and
- Pledge not to use genetically engineered wheat, currently being developed for commercial introduction by the biotechnology industry.
Genetically Engineered Food Alert is a coalition of hundreds of scientists, environmentalists, consumer groups, farmers, doctors, parents, religious leaders, celebrities and others who believe that genetically engineered foods should not be on our supermarket shelves unless they are adequately safety tested and labeled. www.gefoodalert.org
